FUTA PDS Application now on

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admissions into the PDS Programme of the University for the 2013/2014 Academic Session.

ADMISSIONS WILL BE INTO THE FOLLOWING SCHOOLS:

i. School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT)
ii. School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET)
iii. School of Earth and Mineral Sciences (SEMS)
iv. School of Environmental Technology (SET)
v. School of Management Technology (SMAT)
vi. School of Sciences (SOS)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates should possess WASC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB at not more than two sittings with a minimum of Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of the following subjects relevant to their discipline: Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science, Economics, and Geography. Credit pass in Economics is compulsory in the School of Management Technology.

QUALIFYING TEST:

Candidates for Pre-Degree Science Programme must perform to a satisfactory level in a Computer-Based qualifying test to be conducted on Thursday, 17th and Friday 18th October, 2013 at 8:00 am at the e-Test Centre, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State.

Candidates are expected to visit the website of the Federal University of Technology, Akure http://www.futa.edu.ng. for the results of the qualifying test as from Thursday 24th October, 2013.

DURATION:

The programme is full-time, and will run for one academic session of Two (2) Semesters.

REGISTRATION AND COMMENCEMENT OF LECTURES:

Screening and registration of successful candidates begin on Monday, 19th November, 2013 while lectures commence on Monday, 3rd December, 2013.

Candidates who successfully complete the programme and meet the cut-off mark for the course applied for as determined by the University Admissions Committee as well as meet the JAMB cut-off mark would be admitted into 100 level of the University undergraduate degree programme in relevant discipline in the 2013/2014 academic session.

ACCOMMODATION

Limited accommodation will be available on first come first served basis.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Candidates are to pay application fee of fifteen thousand naira (N15,000.00) excluding bank charges on e-transact platform in any bank that is on e-transact platform.

Candidates are to complete and print the PDS Application Form online after payment by logging on to the Federal University of Technology, Akure’s website http://www.futa.edu.ng and click on the online PDS Application Form.

Submit the Online application form and print out a copy of the examination schedule slip.

The application opens on Monday, 10th June, 2013 and closes on Tuesday, 15th October, 2013.

All candidates are requested to bring along the following items to the e-test venue:

i) Depositor’s copy of bank teller(s) indicating payment of FIFTEEN THOUSAND NAIRA (N15,000.00) Application Fee in candidate’s name.

ii) Completed Application Form (downloaded from the FUTA website).

iii) e-test scheduling slip which must contain a registration number.

iv) Copy of e-transact receipt obtained from the bank.

a. The venue of e-test exercise is the Electronic Test Centre (eTC) “Obakekere Campus” Federal University of Technology, Akure.

Candidates are NOT allowed to bring cell phones or electronic gadget(s) into the e-test hall.

Any candidate who fails to present himself/herself for the computer based test will NOT be considered for admission.

Candidates are requested in their own interest to have a feel of (practice) the computer based test by visiting http.//test.jketc.net .

CLOSING DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS

All completed online application forms with the required relevant documents should be submitted to http://www.futa.edu.ng not later than Friday, 25th October, 2013.

UNILAG POST-UME SCREENING PROCEDURE

1. Candidates are to pay at the following banks:
ECOBANK, FIRST BANK, UNION BANK, ZENITH
BANK,ACCESS BANK, UBA, GTB AND WEMA
BANK.
2. Screening Fee – N 1,500, Checking of Result – N
500 (Optional), Revision Questions and Online
Practice Test – N2,000 (Optional)
3. 24 hours after Payment, log on to
http://www.unilag.edu.ng, Click on the 2013/2014
POST-UTME under Prospective Students to print
your Exam Pass
4. E-practise password on your Exam Pass allows
you to take an Online e-practice test
5. A copy of the revision question can also be
downloaded
6. All candidates who scored 200 and above and
have made UNILAG their FIRST CHOICE
Institution in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examinations (UTME) are eligible for the
screening.
7. In addition, candidates must possess five (5)
credit passes in relevant ‘O’ level subjects
including Mathematics and English Language at
ONE sitting. Candidates awaiting results are also
eligible.
8. Candidates, who will not be sixteen (16) years of
age by October 31, 2013 are not eligible and
need not apply.
9. The Post UTME screening exercise will take place
between Monday, July 22 and Wednesday, July
24, 2013
10. The online registration for the University of
Lagos Post-UTME Screening Exercise for
Admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for
the 2013/2014 Academic Year closes on Sunday,
July 14, 2013.
11. The Computer Based Test (CBT) Screening
Exercise is in the Use of English, Mathematics
and General Paper.
12. Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to the
guidelines and make necessary clarifications as
deemed fit.

UNILAG POST-UME FORM NOW OUT

Registration  for Unilag Post-UTME will start on June 28, 2013.
The Unilag UTME cut off mark is 200 and above, and only for those who choose University of Lagos as first choice institution.
A prospective students must have 5 credit passes in relevant courses, this includes English and Math at one sitting.  
Candidate who will not be 16 years of age  by October. 31, 2013 need not apply.
Form will cost #2,000 only, and revision question #2,000.
